Our business is innovation; our products are drinks.

Our drinks are made in small quantities and this makes it possible to ensure high quality. We spend a great deal of time perfecting our drinks, and taste is of paramount importance.

We source all our ingredients locally, using only fresh produce. Our philosophy is to interfere as little as possible with what nature provides. Our experience tells us that our business is not just about developing good products but in recognising ones that already exist. By incorporating these in our own products we can guarantee that the finished drink will be as good as it can possibly be. We think it shows.

The People

Donal Lehane: Managing Director

Donal Lehane

Donal has a long track record in the food industry, both in Ireland and overseas. He is the founder and chairman of Slow Food in the south east region and is very active in business and in the community, especially in rural development. He has a wide portfolio of responsibilities across a whole range of organisations.

Donal is the driving force behind the company, and he brings his vast experience of business development to bear in a company that is striving to create new and innovative products for an newly enlightened and discerning buying public.

Donald Sutherland: Sales and Marketing

Donald Sutherland

No, that is not a misprint. Donald is from the good old US of A. He has a background in the music industry and in the fine arts, and is also very active in a number of community projects and festivals. Donald has spent many years in Ireland and is very enthusiastic, about everything. And that is just as well.

It is never easy staring a business, but trying to get one off the ground in a recession is a real challenge. Donald's enthusiam for the task of selling and marketing is what we rely on to carry us through. Donald is our front man, the friendly face of Irish Artisan Beverages.

Paul Deegan: Production and Finance

Paul Deegan

Paul spent much of his working life in the UK and has a backround in voluntary sector senior management, and prior to that worked with the homeless in Central London. Another Slow Food member, he manages the Slow Food Ireland website. He returned to Ireland in 2006 to "slow down and do something useful".

Despite his background, Paul is very much the techie in the team, with a strong input into communications, but primarily responsible for product development. A natural problem solver, he will tell you he is tested to his limits developing new products, but wouldn't have it any other way.
